Nothing like a NY bagel. Doesn’t look or taste like one. These bagels are too fluffy. Had to throw most of it away. The lox sandwich barely has any lox yet they charge $12.99 for it. I didn’t want onions or tomatoes and they were the bulk of the sandwich. Hardly any cream cheese. The chopper liver was extremely dry and flavorless. They apparently skipped an ingredient or two to make it edible. Do not recommend. The whitefish salad was no better. I couldn’t even tell what it was. Not sure why this place is popular, but it shouldn’t be. Slow and poor service, bad food. Only good things were the Dr Browns soda, the dessert case (which not one person purchased while I was there), and the fact it’s take out only.

This bagel spot is lincolnwood is always busy from the am to the evening. Usually come in the am dont let the long line discourage you moves rather quickly. If you willing to wait 20-30 minutes in line it's worthwhile. It can take longer than that depending on what people are ordering. Bagels are always soft and delicious I've only had the poppy seed,onion, plain and garlic bagels 🥯 with plain cream cheese. Usually get 2 bagels with cream cheese baked so delicious,then I order a few extra bagels with a medium container of cream cheese 🧀. Even aftera day or so bagels are still good and soft. Believe it or not their pickles are also great too dont miss out on them. They also make sandwiches 🥪 and also sell pastries 🍰. People mostly go for bagels for what I've seen but give everything a try looks tasty. Staff is friendly and work great under pressure considering people are shouting out orders . Other than the long wait line it's a good bagel spot. I bought 3 bagels with cream cheese baked, took home 4 reg bagels with 3 mini plain bagels and a medium container of cream cheese came around 25 dollars.

Heard about this place from a relative and they expressed how good the bagels were so I finally had the chance to check it out today. It was a little overwhelming at first since there were a lot of options but I ended up ordering the New York breakfast on an everything bagel. I got two of those and one of them was supposed to be on an egg bagel but it was made on an everything bagel. Despite the mix up, the food was really good. I also got an everything bagel with chive spread and it was so good. They’re very generous with their spread so prepare to get messy when eating your cream cheese bagel. I also got to try their New York sodas called Dr.Brown’s. I’m a huge soda fanatic and I was a little hesitant on trying this brand but I tried it out and I was so glad I did! I got Dr.Brown’s black cherry soda and it’s as if coke cherry and dr.pepper had a baby. The taste was very light and not too carbonated. Usually when you drink dark sodas, you can feel that thick syrup but with Dr.Brown’s it was so light and quite refreshing. Definitely will try more of the other flavors available. Plus! They also have zero sugar options. There was a wait when I got there, maybe around 15mins overall f

Review written 02/09/2026. It was tasty. Cheddar bagel with chive cream cheese. However it was unclear what was really available to order, prices were unclear etc. Menu should be updated for clarity. Also note there is a 4% fee to use a card, so I recommend to bring cash. And note the parking lot is 1-way so be careful to enter from correct way

I drove up north from Andersonville after hearing great reviews about New York Bagel & Bialy fresh baked bagels, and was not disappointed. We went Saturday morning, around 10am. There was a line out the door, but it moved at a reasonable pace without anyone rushing around. It probably took no more than 10 minutes to order, and another 5-10 minutes to get our New York Breakfast sandwich and bagel/spread. They have a great selection of fresh baked desserts and sweets, which I'll be getting next time! Great price for the quality and quantity, and easy to share.
